Witches of the Craft Oracle Cards

One of my most used oracle decks is “Witches’ Kitchen Oracle Cards” by Barbara Meiklejohn-Free and Flavia Kate Peters. When given the opportunity to review another deck created by the pair, I jumped at the chance.

That deck is “Witches of the Craft Oracle Cards,” again by Barbara Meiklejohn-Free and Flavia Kate Peters. This 48 card deck highlights just about any type/style of witch you can imagine. Witches defined by the elements, religions, geography, color, magical modality, lifestyle, and more, have a place in this deck featuring some inspired artistic interpretations.

Kate Osborne is responsible for the “Witches of the Craft” design and artwork. The card illustrations look like a traditional art/computer art hybrid that I love, or feel meh about, depending on the card. Regardless, each card features a striking image of a witch, along with what type of witch it is, and what type of magic they practice.

The deck comes with a 116-page guidebook wonderfully written by Meiklejohn-Free and Peters. As always, I prefer doing a single card draw with most decks, but if you’re looking for more ideas and spreads, they provide them.

The “Witches of the Craft Oracle Cards” is a solid oracle deck. Although it could resonate with many types of deck users, I would imagine eclectic magical types and those looking for female empowerment might be particularly smitten by this deck.
