Since 2016 if anyone asked me for a recommendation for a book about palmistry I would immediately reply with “The Art and Science of Hand Reading: Classical Methods for Self-Discovery through Palmistry” by Ellen Goldberg and Dorian Bergen. However, that book is nearly 550 pages long and has the suggested retail price of $35.00. It is a worthy investment for those serious about learning the art/science of palm reading, but what if you aren’t sure you’re serious?
In that case, Hampton Roads Publishing (an imprint of Red Wheel Weiser Books) took care of that at the end of last year (Yes, this is a LONG overdue book review) with the release of “Palmistry: Your Plain & Simple Guide to Reading Destiny in Your Hands” by Sasha Fenton. (This book was previously published as “Palmistry Plain & Simple”.) At roughly 160 pages and a retail price of $14.95, this is the perfect little try it, you might like it, book.
Although less dense than the before mentioned “The Art and Science of Hand Reading”, Fenton has made sure “Palmistry” covers all the bases to give you a solid base to build your future hand reading practice on. “Palmistry” discusses the major and minor lines, how to make handprints, the map of the hand, and other features of the hands and how they can be used to judge someone’s character and possibly predict the future.
If you’ve been considering exploring palm reading, but were not sure where to start, I highly recommend “Palmistry” by Sasha Fenton.
