Most of the ingredients are readily available, and true to past cookbook reviews, I had to try out a few recipes. Obviously, I had to try a cocktail recipe. I went with The Shark Bite inspired by “Jaws.” I decided to try it because I already had a bottle of blue Curacao from when I made The Sea After the Storm Dark and Stormy from “The Unofficial Princess Bride Cookbook.” This made an impressive looking cocktail, that would be a hit at any ocean themed get together. It tasted good, but my tip is to top it off with seltzer. It made it taste even better and made “ocean foam.” For a food item I tried out Brown Butter Lemon Popcorn from the What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie Popcorn recipe inspired by the movie “Scream.” I chose this recipe because it’s SUPER easy, it starts with microwave popcorn! I was surprised how good the lemon was with the popcorn! I followed the recipe and ended up accidentally over buttering and over lemoning (yes, it’s a word) the popcorn, but someone paying better attention would probably have avoided that.

“The Horror Movie Night Cookbook” by Richard S.
