Most of you know, I am a lover of the video game series \u201cFallout,\u201d so this press release I received was big news!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NATIONAL ATOMIC TESTING MUSEUM ANNOUNCES \u201cWORLD OF FALLOUT\u2122\u201d EXHIBITION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BETHESDA SOFTWORKS OPENING NOV. 14, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First thought was, the United States has a National Atomic Testing Museum? Why yes, yes we do.<\/em> According to the press release,<\/em> \u201cThe National Atomic Testing Museum is operated and maintained by its parent company, the Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation (NTSHF), an IRS 501(c)3 charitable, non-profit organization chartered in Nevada. Covering nuclear history beginning with the first test at the Nevada Test Site on January 27, 1951, the National Atomic Testing Museum\u2019s exhibitions and programming also address current affairs related to the nuclear industry.\u201d And now you know.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition sounds like a Fallout fan\u2019s dream! The press release shared this info.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The  National Atomic Testing Museum<\/a> announces it will debut its newest exhibition, \u201cWorld of Fallout,\u201d on Nov. 14, 2025. Presented in partnership with Fallout\u2122<\/em> publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer Bethesda Game Studios, the installation will comprise objects associated with the game and the TV series it inspired. This compact yet powerful display will highlight the connections between real-world nuclear history and the imaginative storytelling of the video game\u2019s universe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First introduced in 1997, the franchise\u2019s expansive lore, including its famed Vaults, Vault Boy mascot, and depiction of a post-apocalyptic Wasteland, has left a lasting imprint on pop culture. The new exhibit will spotlight these elements while drawing parallels to mid-20th century nuclear history, offering visitors an opportunity to experience how atomic culture has inspired art, entertainment and collective imagination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through carefully selected objects and interpretive displays, the exhibit will bridge fact and fiction. Highlights include screen-worn Vault suits and memorabilia alongside graphic panels that explore the recurring elements of the Fallout<\/em> franchise, along with the key Cold War themes that influenced the world and its lore<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration with Bethesda Softworks underscores the National Atomic Testing Museum\u2019s ongoing commitment to present nuclear history through new lenses. By situating gaming lore within the broader context of science and culture, the exhibit is designed to engage both longtime Fallout<\/em> fans and museum visitors. It also complements the museum\u2019s permanent collection, which chronicles the scientific, military and social history of the Atomic Age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrying the Fallout<\/em> theme beyond this dedicated exhibition, the National Atomic Testing Museum will feature Fallout<\/em>-inspired Easter eggs throughout its main gallery space, providing visitors with added moments of discovery as they explore the various exhibits.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cWorld of Fallout\u201d exhibit also arrives at a time of renewed enthusiasm for the franchise, with Prime Video\u2019s 2024 Fallout<\/em> television series drawing more than 100 million viewers worldwide. Together, these projects affirm the staying power of the Fallout<\/em> franchise and its resonance with both gamers and broader audiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat makes this exhibit one-of-a-kind is that we\u2019re putting iconic Fallout <\/em>symbols side by side with the history that inspired them,\u201d said Joseph Kent, chief community officer and curator, National Atomic Testing Museum. \u201cIt\u2019s a chance for gamers and history buffs alike to see just how closely the two worlds connect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
