Hey, Destiny Books. Are you there? Are you reading this? Come closer, we need to talk. When are you going to give Nicholas Pearson\u2019s work the sexy hardcover treatment it deserves? Maybe next year a book set with slipcover? I\u2019m just saying that Pearson\u2019s latest work cements his place as the preeminent author on the subject of crystals since Judy Hall, at least in my opinion. And what is that latest work? \u201cCrystals for Psychic Self-Defense: 145 Gemstones for Banishing, Binding, and Magickal Protection.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pretty much as soon as I cracked the spine on this book I was like, \u201cWell, Pearson did it again.\u201d Right off the bat Pearson offers a thorough list of potential psychic threats. Magical protection is as close to a specialty that I, an avowed generalist, has and I deem Pearson\u2019s list thorough and well thought out. Followed immediately by your crystal basics, such as shopping for, charging, storing crystals, etc. The book isn\u2019t breaking new ground here, but it is all necessary information, particularly for specialized crystal work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next \u201cCrystals for Psychic Self Defense\u201d goes into amazing detail as to all the ways crystals can be used for protection. First is personal protection, such as the ways you can carry crystals with you. Next is using crystals to ward your space, and then ideas for protection from geopathic stress. Following that is an exploration of psychic attacks and how to protect yourself from them and recover from them. Finally, an interesting look at using crystals for banishing, binding, and reversal magic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, what is a crystal book without a full color directory of crystals? Pearson outlines 145 crystals that can be used in protection work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seriously, what can I say about Nicholas Pearson and his books that I haven\u2019t said before? Other than \u201cCrystals for Psychic Self-Defense\u201d is a true stand out in the categories of crystals and magical protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
