“The Avian Oracle” is a 45-card deck featuring loads of different birds delightfully illustrated by Gianna Rini. Sandra Kynes, along with Judika Illes, is a master at authoring compendiums and encyclopedias, and so it is no great surprise that “The Avian Oracle” is a diverse and complete feeling collection and that each card is outlined with many associations! Each bird has a paragraph or two about it\u2019s role in history and folklore, there\u2019s a list of its attributes and aspects, and also its astrological, seasonal, and elemental correspondences, and the deities associated with it. This makes \u201cThe Avian Oracle\u201d quite versatile. Like many oracles, this is meant more as a means of self-reflection than divinatory tool, but you\u2019ll find that Kynes included a variety of card spreads that allow for introspection and\/or looking to the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re inclined toward the avian, I highly recommend \u201cThe Avian Oracle.\u201d It\u2019s excellent art and design make it a stand out in the land of themed oracle decks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
