I wasn\u2019t sure I was going to write a review of \u201cThe Dragon Riders Oracle\u201d by Christine Arana Fader with art by Elena Dudina. The box art is nice and I have nothing against dragons (or those who ride them), I just didn\u2019t know if there was anything there. However, I never decide on a deck until at the very least I thumb through all the cards, and it was in the process of doing this that I came across them. The Cat Jokers. And just like that, it was time to explore this oracle deck further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before I get ahead of myself, let\u2019s rewind for some background info. Fader, the deck\u2019s creator, describes dragons as \u201cbeings of pure energy\u201d and dragon riders are ascended masters, elves (that \u201cshould not be confused with goblins and fairies\u201d because these elves \u201clive not on this world but on other planets\u201d), angels, gods, goddesses and planets. Dragons and their Riders become protectors of us all. So, in \u201cThe Dragon Riders Oracle\u201d you\u2019re introduced to dragons and their riders. But what\u2019s up with the cats?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Fader, \u201ccats and dragons are magical beings and are similar in other ways too.\u201d If you draw The Cat Joker you\u2019re supposed to focus and perform the ritual it contains. It\u2019s a whimsical addition to an already fantastical deck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Dragon Riders Oracle\u201d features some beautiful illustrations and a flexible oracle format. It\u2019s perfect for someone looking for a fantasy looking deck with some solid new age themes and ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
