At this point the documentation on the site is kind of out of control!  We&#8217;ve got <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2008\/07\/09\/a-letter-part-one\/\"target=\"_blank\">the very beginning here in 2008<\/a>, then <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2009\/01\/20\/a-letter-part-two\/\"target=\"_blank\">President Obama&#8217;s inauguration<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2009\/04\/19\/a-letter-the-end-of-an-era\/\"target=\"_blank\">disappointing form post card<\/a>, me <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2009\/11\/10\/a-letter-part-four\/\"target=\"_blank\">pestering the United Nations<\/a>, my <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2010\/05\/25\/a-letter-to-my-letters\/\"target=\"_blank\">attempt to make sense of it all<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2010\/11\/02\/a-letter-the-british-edition\/\"target=\"_blank\">talking to Britain<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2010\/12\/26\/a-letter-part-seven-the-wikileaks-edition\/\"target=\"_blank\">actually hearing back<\/a>!  It hadn&#8217;t really hit me until now that I have been endeavoring to follow Zimbabwean politics for close to\/around 4 years now.  Not the easiest thing to do considering how their President, Robert Mugabe, hates the press.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, there was a little bit of Zimbabwe news recently.  It rubbed me the wrong way.  In the grand scheme of things that get my knickers in a twist when thinking about Zimbabwe, this is nothing.  I wasn&#8217;t sure I was going to bother sharing it on the site because honestly I couldn&#8217;t figure out exactly how to articulate my thoughts on it.<\/p>\n<p>Then came Stephen Colbert to the rescue&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color:#000000;width:260px;\">\n<div style=\"padding:4px;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/media.mtvnservices.com\/embed\/mgid:cms:video:colbertnation.com:414596\" width=\"256\" height=\"144\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;background-color:#FFFFFF;padding:4px;margin-top:4px;margin-bottom:0px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;\"><b>The Colbert Report<\/b> <br \/>Get More: <a href='http:\/\/www.colbertnation.com\/full-episodes\/'>Colbert Report Full Episodes<\/a>,<a href='http:\/\/www.indecisionforever.com\/'>Political Humor &#038; Satire Blog<\/a>,<a href='http:\/\/www.colbertnation.com\/video'>Video Archive<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time Colbert used his show to bring attention to Zimbabwe.  In May 2009 <a href=\"https:\/\/themagicalbuffet.com\/blog1\/2009\/05\/21\/dear-mr-colbert\/\"target=\"_blank\">I wrote a public thank you to him for the several previous times he mentioned Zimbabwe<\/a>.  If you go to that article you can watch those video clips too!<\/p>\n<p>Just as an extra bit of Zimbabwe weirdness, the South African chicken fast food franchise Nando&#8217;s put together a short lived commercial featuring a look-a-like Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.
