It’s more offensive to me for so many celebrities to thank Jesus for their award when it’s quite obvious that their walk doesn’t match their talk. However, we are a nation with a right to free speech, so we all can say whatever we want whether or not our actions correspond with our words. Kathy simply pointed out the absurdity of it all with her statement. Each individual’s belief system is important to them. From a philosophical point of view, there are many truths in all beliefs. So someone voices an opinion that differs – it doesn’t mean others must then conform to that idealogy. Examine what is different. Learn about the structure or origins of the belief, and the process could either bring you knowledge of diversity or a nugget of insight into your own spiritual practice. I thoroughly enjoy learning about other paths; it enriches my own.
