I was at Wal-Mart recently and was immediately struck by a big ol’ display filled with pink and pink ribbon embossed merchandise. I turned to my husband and said, “It’s almost October.” Since it is now October and we’re in the thick of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is time once again that I ask you all to “Think Before You Pink”.

This October you’ll find me in stores, on the radio, and at conventions! Where will you be this October?

An update on health issues and The Magical Buffet, getting shanked, and becoming a functional alcoholic.

Hand lotion, infused olive oil, Journey to Destiny workshop, and even an interview with yours truly.

I hate to say it, but you could probably call this “a very special post” from The Magical Buffet. There are a lot of congratulations and thankfulness inside, and hopefully some of you will be able to show one very remarkable woman some additional love.

Buffet readers from last year may remember that around the winter holidays I did “12 Days of Blogging” where I counted down my 12 favorite blogs of the year. With 2010 coming to a close I find myself again wanting to do some sort of fun, end of the year thing, but I feel like doing “12 Days of Blogging” again would be stale. I have instead decided that as a farewell salute to Oprah who is ending her freakishly long running talk show I would do “Rebecca’s Favorite Things”. There will be no cars given away, no iPads tucked under your seat, but there will be links! You’ll get a link! And you’ll get a link! Everybody gets a link!

It’s officially October, and that means Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This means it’s also time for me to remind you about Breast Cancer Action and their Think Before You Pink campaign! If you, or someone you know, has breasts, you should probably click on in.

So what happened at the “A Magical Buffet of Author” events? Want to see some photos? It’s time to click on in!

That’s right folks, we have a winner! Click on in to join in congratulating our winner!

For a special occasion I bust out a special ring and make peace with my grandmother’s choices in jewelry.
