Looking for something to do this Saturday? Look no further!

The Pluralism Project at Harvard University has announced their 2nd Annual Pluralism Project Photo Contest. I’m sharing their press release because I think this is an excellent opportunity for many of the wonderful individuals and organizations that The Magical Buffet has worked with to come out and mingle with other communities. Albeit virtual mingling, through photos. Feh! The folks over at The Pluralism Project are doing some great work and I want to give my readers the opportunity to be a part of it! I hate to say it, but you could probably call this “a very special post” from The Magical Buffet. There are a lot of congratulations and thankfulness inside, and hopefully some of you will be able to show one very remarkable woman some additional love.

Author Deborah Blake gives us her rundown on this year’s Pantheacon, the largest indoor gathering of Pagans/Witches/Wiccans and assorted Heathens in the United States.

That’s right, I saw Flogging Molly live at their sold out show at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY. Click on in for a glimpse at the 7th Annual Green 17 Tour!

Vinyl, flying pigs, and magnets made a day trip to Poughkeepsie, NY truly worthwhile.

Another opportunity for Magical Buffet readers to participate in interfaith communities thanks to The Pluralism Project at Harvard University bringing it to my attention!

As most of you probably know, Saturday October 30, 2010 was the Rally To Restore Sanity And/Or Fear hosted by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Unfortunately I was unable to attend (Halloween Eve sessions of “All Flesh Must Be Eaten” don’t come around every day!) so like many people I was watching it Sunday morning thanks to my DVR. Fortunately for me, my good friend Erin Jennes made the trip and with a bribe of dinner out on my part, she was nice enough to share her thoughts and experiences from having been there first hand.

Movember, bringing attention to men’s health one moustache at a time.

On Saturday October 23, 2010 I woke up at 5:45AM, hurriedly got dressed, got some breakfast, and by 7AM Jim and I were on the road to Peterborough, NH. What on earth could be so important as to cause me to wake up 5:45AM on a Saturday? Celebrate Samhain!
